This is also the best time to book your flights to Bohol to celebrate the annual historical Sandugo Festival in Tagbilaran City. Sandugo or blood compact in English was performed between Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, Spanish explorer, and Datu Sikatuna, Chieftain of Bohol, on March 16, 1565 as a symbol of friendship.
AirAsia, the world’s best low-cost airline for 10 straight years running, is Bohol’s official airline partner for the annual Sandugo Festival 2018. ThThis year’s festival theme is Legacy @ 30: A 30th year of Sandugo Festival.
AirAsia is a major and only airline sponsor for the festival composed of a string of events. One of which is the search for the Miss Bohol pageant.
As a major sponsor, AirAsia is involved in the Festival’s brand advertising, promotional activities and campaigns, familiarization trips for consumer and trade associations, media, travel agencies, greater tourism development and route network synergy, joint roadshows to trade partners, and many more.
The partnership was signed in February by Bohol Provincial Governor Edgar Chatto and the airline’s CEO Captain Dexter Comendador.
“It brings us so much pride to be your official carrier. Boholanos are known for their excellent service culture which is also one of the hallmarks of AirAsia’s brand of service. It’s going to be an exciting time for all of us and we look forward to working even more closely with the provincial government and the various hotel and tourism stakeholders not only for this festival but throughout the year, ” AAP CEO Captain Dexter Comendador said. AirAsia awarded this year’s winner of Miss Bohol, Ms. Raclaire Stephan Dinsay Cesar Trigo who hailed from the City of Tagbilaran with free flights and the title Miss AirAsia 2018 while offering special fares to encourage tourists to travel to Bohol.

I love the Philippines and it’s people. I love the weather, the food and the night life. The only thing I don’t like is the traffic.
Bohol is one of the underated tourist spots in the Philippines. As a Korean who loves visiting the Philippines, Bohol os one of my favorite places to visit and spend a few days in.
I have to admit that when I first came to the Philippines, I did not really like Pinoy food. 5 years later, I am now addicted to adobo, kare-kare and sinigang! Haha
As a Korean living in the Philippines, I have grown to love this country and consider it my second home. I love the warmth not just of the weather but of the people as well.
