<p>Boracay, the country&#8217;s premiere island resort destination and hailed as the number one island in Asia, reopens its ports not only to overnight tourists but also to same-day tourists from the Western Visayas Region.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" width="720" height="960" src="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590434204000802900881884407.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7270" srcset="https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590434204000802900881884407.jpg 720w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590434204000802900881884407-225x300.jpg 225w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /><figcaption>Tourist registration and verification counter at Caticlan Jetty Port, Malay, Aklan<br />Photo from<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.facebook.com/fcalawag" target="_blank"> Flord Nicson J. <p>If you are from the Western Visayas Region and want to visit Boracay, you just need to do the following:</p>

<p>1. At the port of entry (Caticlan Jetty Port or Tabon Jetty Port, depending on the tide), wear your face mask and observe physical distancing.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" width="720" height="540" src="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590339151948997423270939379.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7272" srcset="https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590339151948997423270939379.jpg 720w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590339151948997423270939379-300x225.jpg 300w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590339151948997423270939379-400x300.jpg 400w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /><figcaption>Same-Day Tourists from Western Visayas Region are allowed to enter Boracay Island. <br />Photo from<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.facebook.com/fcalawag" target="_blank"> Flord Nicson J. <p>2. Submit yourself to a temperature check at the entrance of the tourist verification counters.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" width="720" height="960" src="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590392926463497010321452278.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7271" srcset="https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590392926463497010321452278.jpg 720w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590392926463497010321452278-225x300.jpg 225w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /><figcaption>Photo from Flord Nicson J. <p>3. Show any valid government Identification Card for verification and fill out a One-Day Entry/Exit Pass</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" width="720" height="960" src="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590514953126837753099892881.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7273" srcset="https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590514953126837753099892881.jpg 720w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15923590514953126837753099892881-225x300.jpg 225w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /><figcaption>Physical Distancing is observed on the boat going to Boracay island.<br />Photo from<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.facebook.com/fcalawag" target="_blank"> Flord Nicson J. <p>4. Pay the corresponding boat fare (Php 40.00) and terminal fee (Php 175.00).</p>

<p><em>Overnight tourists from the Western Visayas Region need to show a hotel booking confirmation from any of the </em><em><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="http://joelandrada.com/travel/list-of-hotels-allowed-to-operate-in-boracay-as-it-reopens-to-tourists-from-western-visayas/" target="_blank">accredited hotels</a></em><em> for the duration of their stay on the island.</em></p>

<p>A boat ride to Cagban Port on Boracay Island from Caticlan Jetty Port takes only 15 to 20 minutes.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" width="720" height="540" src="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15922779973357300348098164097013.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7252" srcset="https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15922779973357300348098164097013.jpg 720w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15922779973357300348098164097013-300x225.jpg 300w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/fb_img_15922779973357300348098164097013-400x300.jpg 400w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /><figcaption>Cagban Jetty Port,Brgy. <p>Look for queues of E-trike outside Cagban Port. The regular fare from Cagban Port to Station Three is Php 20 and to Station Two or One is Php 30.</p>
