I had the most unforgettable experience of swimming with whale sharks, considered the largest fish in the world, when I visited Oslob, Cebu.

Oslob is a municipality in the southern part of the province of Cebu.

This is the first travel video of most probably a three-part series of my solo travel do-it-yourself trip to Oslob, Cebu.

For the first part, I am featuring the whale sharks of Oslob with underwater and aerial footage. Note that flying of drone is not allowed in the whale shark watching/interaction area, Sumilon Island and Tumalog Falls unless the drone pilot has secured a proper permit from the authorities which I did. Rules and guidelines with respect to the local government’s policies on whale shark interaction must also be strictly observed. In the video, I made sure to keep my distance from the whale sharks and stayed to the boat as close as possible.

There were instances, however, when the whale sharks would go near me or the boat. Hence, I kept still and let them pass. I also did not wear sunscreen or any moisturizer which could affect the whale sharks. Special thanks to the Office of the Municipal Tourism of Oslob and to the Hon. Jose Tumulak, Jr, Mayor of Oslob.

I also extended my trip to visit Allegria for canyoneering and Moal Boal. I got to swim with sea turtles and sardines in Moal Boal.
