<p style="text-align:justify;"><b>VERDICT: EAT</b></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">I am not feeling well but as they say &#8220;when the going gets tough, the tough get going!&#8221; So here I am braving another &#8220;stormy&#8221; day at work and expecting another round of torrential rains in the afternoon based on today&#8217;s weather forecast. Because I am feverish, I feel like eating Filipino comfort food like <em>arroz caldo </em>(rice porridge with chicken slices)&nbsp;or <em>champorado</em> (chocolate-flavored rice porridge).</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1193" src="https://joelandrada.files.wordpress.com/2017/09/wp-image-848905750.jpg" alt="wp-image-848905750" width="3000" height="1688" srcset="https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-848905750.jpg 3000w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-848905750-300x169.jpg 300w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-848905750-768x432.jpg 768w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-848905750-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-848905750-1568x882.jpg 1568w" sizes="(max-width: 3000px) 100vw, 3000px" /></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">I remember my grandmother would cook her family-famous <em>arroz caldo</em> every time someone in the family fell ill. &nbsp;I miss Nanay&#8230; our go-to Queen.&nbsp;I guess this holds true to most of us Filipinos. It is almost second nature for our <em>lolas</em>&nbsp;(grandmothers) to prepare something soupy for their sick <em>apos </em>(grandchildren).&nbsp;And to us, &nbsp;a sip of that sumptuous miracle soup would almost always somehow magically take away the sickness.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1191" src="https://joelandrada.files.wordpress.com/2017/09/wp-image-1526067095.jpg" alt="wp-image-1526067095" width="1494" height="2656" srcset="https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1526067095.jpg 1494w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1526067095-169x300.jpg 169w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1526067095-768x1365.jpg 768w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1526067095-576x1024.jpg 576w" sizes="(max-width: 1494px) 100vw, 1494px" /></p>
<p><em>Naimas!</em> (delicious in Ilocano).&nbsp;Stay dry everyone! Signing out for now. Peace!</p>

<p>EAT OR EEK? Here is another featured budget meal for today, i.e., Taco Bell&#8217;s Combo Meal No. 6 composed of 1 piece of Crunchy Taco, 1 piece of Beef Burrito, 1 small bag of nachos sprinkles and 1 16-oz cup of soda. All for P159.00.</p>
<p><a href="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-2067825788.jpg"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="wp-image-966 alignnone size-full" src="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-2067825788.jpg" alt="" width="1920" height="1920" srcset="https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-2067825788.jpg 1920w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-2067825788-150x150.jpg 150w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-2067825788-300x300.jpg 300w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-2067825788-768x768.jpg 768w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-2067825788-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-2067825788-1568x1568.jpg 1568w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></a></p>
<p><strong>VERDICT: EAT</strong></p>
<p>After three hours, I was still full and could still smell the rich taste of the Beef Burrito in my breath. Lol. 😁😂😎 The bread was soft but not soggy. Deym, I ate the Beef Burrito as if there was no tomorrow! It was that good. Yum! Yum!</p>
<p><a href="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1165059358.jpg"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="wp-image-969 alignnone size-full" src="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1165059358.jpg" alt="" width="2161" height="1753" srcset="https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1165059358.jpg 2161w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1165059358-300x243.jpg 300w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1165059358-768x623.jpg 768w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1165059358-1024x831.jpg 1024w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1165059358-1568x1272.jpg 1568w" sizes="(max-width: 2161px) 100vw, 2161px" /></a></p>
<p>Moving on to the Crunchy Taco, another good deal! The taco was served warm. It was crunchy filled with just the right amount of crisp lettuce, grated cheddar cheese, minced onions, ground beef and not so spicy red chili sauce.</p>
<p><a href="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1625712528.jpg"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="wp-image-971 alignnone size-full" src="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1625712528.jpg" alt="" width="2660" height="3758" srcset="https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1625712528.jpg 2660w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1625712528-212x300.jpg 212w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1625712528-768x1085.jpg 768w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1625712528-725x1024.jpg 725w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1625712528-1568x2215.jpg 1568w" sizes="(max-width: 2660px) 100vw, 2660px" /></a></p>
<p>To me, eating tacos is taking a trip down memory lane&#8230; Remember that famous beef taco sold in Greenhills? I do not know if that particular food kiosk still exists. Back in the day, my college block mates and I would travel all the way from the Ateneo to Greenhills during breaks just to feast on some and we would cap it off with a cup of that thirst-quenching sugarcane juice. Oh, the good old days!</p>
<p><a href="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-810049213.jpg"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="wp-image-972 alignnone size-full" src="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-810049213.jpg" alt="" width="3000" height="1688" srcset="https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-810049213.jpg 3000w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-810049213-300x169.jpg 300w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-810049213-768x432.jpg 768w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-810049213-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-810049213-1568x882.jpg 1568w" sizes="(max-width: 3000px) 100vw, 3000px" /></a></p>
<p>The nacho chips is good, too, sprinkled with a sweet and spicy flavoring. I wonder if this is a house brand.</p>
<p>Well, this is it for now. I am definitely going back to Taco Bell to try their other budget meals.</p>
<p>Signing out. Peace!</p>

<p>EAT OR EEK? Today&#8217;s featured budget meal is 8 Bowls Asian Kitchen&#8217;s Chicken Teppanyaki.</p>
<p>Aside from being meagerly priced at P85.00, admittedly, I was enticed to switch from Bonchon Chicken to 8 Bowls&#8217; Chicken Teppanyaki because of its delectable photo on the back-lit overhead panel. It is rice topped with seasoned Chicken meat and &#8216;atchara&#8217;</p>
<p><a href="https://joelandrada.files.wordpress.com/2017/09/wp-image-1700412109.jpg"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="wp-image-945 alignnone size-full" src="https://joelandrada.files.wordpress.com/2017/09/wp-image-1700412109.jpg" alt="" width="1920" height="1920" /></a></p>
<p><strong>VERDICT: EEK</strong></p>
<p>I will not order this easy on the pocket meal ever again. The chicken was not seasoned enough. It lacked taste. It felt like I was eating tofu&#8230; a bad tasting tofu. I thought that the free soup tasted better. Just the same, I finished the whole darn thing because I was hungry and could hear my mom in my head telling me to finish it because &#8220;maraming nagugutom sa mundo&#8221; (a lot of people do not have enough to eat).</p>
<p><a href="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1196153781.jpg"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="wp-image-953 alignnone size-full" src="http://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1196153781.jpg" alt="" width="3000" height="1688" srcset="https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1196153781.jpg 3000w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1196153781-300x169.jpg 300w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1196153781-768x432.jpg 768w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1196153781-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://joelandrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/wp-image-1196153781-1568x882.jpg 1568w" sizes="(max-width: 3000px) 100vw, 3000px" /></a></p>
<p>So there&#8230; but do not take my word for it. It could just be my unlucky day.</p>
<p>&#8216;Til my next eat or eek! Signing out for now. Peace!</p>
