Cable Car has been a popular resto-bar brand especially among the Tito’s and Tita’s of Manila since 1992. It is well known for its San Francisco pub ambiance, Beer Pong and the Cable Car Rice and Sisig Rice.

2017 marks Cable Car’s 25th anniversary and part of the celebration is the introduction of Cable Car’s new food menu featuring all new items and takes on some Cable Car classics that Cable Car is already known for.

Cable Car’s Head Chef Paolo Gutierrez shared that the new food menu was conceived to encapsulate Cable Car’s marketing slogan “It’s Home” by fusing local favorites such as Tinapa and salted eggs. Gutierrez is a Culinary Consultant and CEO of TrainRight and has previous affiliations with IHOP Philippines, Applebee’s Philippines, Makati Shangri-la Hotel and Global Restaurant Concept, Inc.

Mr. Andy Lopez, Marketing OIC, said that introducing a new menu is just but a part of a series of projects that are underway to upgrade their services and systems to cater more to families and to grab the market beyond the very healthy nightlife. This 2018 Cable Car might be running 24/7 operations and deliveries.

Further, Lopez excitedly shared that Cable Car’s expansion is aggressive with the consecutive openings of their Iloilo and Clark branches. We should expect to see more Cable Car restobars around.
