MY DRONE FLEW AWAY IN BATANES

Here is how I lost my drone in Batanes.

For better definition, watch it on youtube here:

I went to Batanes to cover the wonderful and amazing tourist spots. I went to Vayang Rolling Hills and took off. My first attempt failed as I chickened out and decided to land as soon as I felt the gustiness of the wind. I told myself, “next time, Jaws… next time.”
And then in ten minutes, I took off for the second time. I struggled piloting my drone…. until I could no longer control it. I wanted it to return to me but the wind just won’t let it. I could feel my drone’s yearning to come home to me… I stared at the distance counter on my mobile go higher and higher as my drone went farther and farther away. I watched my drone as it grew smaller and smaller in the horizon until we lost contact.
Thanks to my fellow travel blogger Cai Dominguez of Travelosyo and Kuya Wilson for staying with me and helping me look for my drone. Special thanks, too, to Mark Lawrence B Lechuga of Safetravel Philippines and Mike Barcelona Acebes of Katuvang B&B for their concern.

I will never forget Batanes. Batanes will hold a special place in my heart not only because of this unfortunate experience but because of its sheer and mystical beauty. I am going down in history as the first person to lose his drone while in flight in Batanes.
I am not giving up. I am only on my second day in Batanes. I will come up with a beautiful travel video featuring Batanes with or without a drone. Not yet signing out… sorry. Peace!

TRAVEL | LA UNION feat. THUNDERBIRD RESORTS & CASINO and PUGAD ADVENTURE

The year 2017 has been a year of self-discovery and transformation. It was when I have officially launched my online presence as a blogger through www.theskincareddict.com and vlogger via www.youtube.com/theskincareaddict.

Being true to my core, I intially blogged and vlogged about skin care, hence, the pseudonym The Skin Care Addict or TSCA.

Although I still write and talk about skin care every now and then, I have this penchant for travels. And in the last quarter of 2017, I have begun to embrace this new path, that is blogging for life, and decided to take it seriously by seizing moments and turning them into memories that I can share with my family, friends, readers and viewers.

I guess I was born a  nomad, will always be one and will die as one. As a child growing up, I have lived in at least three different cities. In college, my friends would call me a ‘social butterfly’ as I would often hop from one tambayan (hang-out) to another and from one boarding house to another. As an adult, I have lived in different cities in the metro. And often in my corporate career, I would shuttle in and out of airports and I enjoyed it. Here are just some of the places I have been to. Thanks to Instagram.

I have also been to a number of places in the country prior Instagram days.

As a travel blogger, I plan to visit more destinations this year and properly document each of them using stills and motion picture with ground, aerial and underwater footages whenever possible.

To officially ring in the new year, below is a 60-second video about LA UNION. It is also my OFFICIAL ENTRY TO THE ALTITUDE DRONES #PHFromAbove VIDEO CONTEST ON FACEBOOK.

It is a contest and would need your help by clicking the link below. Give it a like and share it to friends. 1 like = 1 point , 1 share = 2 points

The aerial footage was shot on DJI Phantom 3 Standard while the ground footage was shot using a Canon EOS 550d DSLR camera. Special thanks to my brother, Jem Mark Andrada , and my mom for being so ever patient with me and supportive throughout this trip.

Thanks to  the management of Thunderbird Resorts and Casino and Pugad Adventure for their warm hospitality.

Let me know what you think of the video. I am still learning and would love to hear from you.

I will also be uploading separate vlogs and features about my trips to Thunderbird Resorts and Casino and Pugad Adventure soon. So, I hope you stay tuned.

Signing out for now. Peace.
